IMRAN ANWAR
Imran Anwar is a native of Las Vegas. He graduated
from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1999 with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Political Science. Thereafter, he
attended California Western School of Law, receiving his
J.D. in 2002. During that time, he had the opportunity to study abroad at the College of Law of England and Wales in
London, England. While in law school, he also worked as
a legal intern for the San Diego County Public Defender’s
Office, the Clark County District Attorney’s Office Criminal
Division, and the State of Nevada, Office of the Attorney
General Special Prosecutions Unit.
Following graduation from law school in 2002, Mr.
Anwar was appointed by the Nevada Attorney General
to serve as a Deputy Attorney General in the Litigation
Division. There, he represented numerous state boards and agencies, as well as various state employees, including
several Nevada State Court Judges, Nevada Capitol Police,
Nevada Highway Patrol, Nevada Department of Corrections,
Nevada State Board of Pharmacy, and the Nevada Division
of Child and Family Services, in all types of civil litigation,
including high-profile and complex tort litigation. Much of
his caseload involved civil rights issues and constitutional
law, which gave him significant experience and practice in
Federal Court.
In 2004, Mr. Anwar became an associate attorney at
Rogers, Mastrangelo, Carvalho & Mitchell. He now focuses
primarily on the defense of personal injury claims and
civil tort litigation, in addition to assisting the partners of
the firm in all of their practice areas. He continues to work
on constitutional issues while representing individuals in
civil rights litigation, and also represents homeowners’
associations in various disputes. He is a member of the State
Bar of Nevada and Defense Research Institute. |
