Imran Anwar is a native of Las Vegas. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Thereafter, he attended California Western School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2002. During that time, he had the opportunity to study abroad at the College of Law of England and Wales in London, England. While in law school, he also worked as a legal intern for the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office, the Clark County District Attorney’s Office Criminal Division, and the State of Nevada, Office of the Attorney
General Special Prosecutions Unit.

Following graduation from law school in 2002, Mr. Anwar was appointed by the Nevada Attorney General to serve as a Deputy Attorney General in the Litigation Division. There, he represented numerous state boards and agencies, as well as various state employees, including several Nevada State Court Judges, Nevada Capitol Police, Nevada Highway Patrol, Nevada Department of Corrections, Nevada State Board of Pharmacy, and the Nevada Division of Child and Family Services, in all types of civil litigation, including high-profile and complex tort litigation. Much of his caseload involved civil rights issues and constitutional law, which gave him significant experience and practice in Federal Court.

In 2004, Mr. Anwar became an associate attorney at Rogers, Mastrangelo, Carvalho & Mitchell. He now focuses primarily on the defense of personal injury claims and civil tort litigation, in addition to assisting the partners of the firm in all of their practice areas. He continues to work on constitutional issues while representing individuals in civil rights litigation, and also represents homeowners’ associations in various disputes. He is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and Defense Research Institute.
